Still Here

We are still here! Sorry for the long lapse in blog posts. Life has been moving so quickly. Our heads are spinning and we are ready for bed by 8pm each night. Life with two little boys and all of our responsibilities with the church make for rich and full days.

This post will be an update on the many parts of our lives.
As a family we are doing well. Luca is now three years old and is growing into such a fun kid. He does not feel like a toddler anymore, and that is both heartbreaking and really exciting. We know that each day with our boys is a gift and we readily receive it with open hands. Luca loves pretending, dinosaurs, tractors, singing, and books. He is also very much in love with his little brother. Ephraim will be a year old next month which is so hard to believe. This first year with him has flown by. He has an adventurous and daring personality. He's a momma's boy and loves to be in the middle of everything. He can get anywhere he wants to by crawling and climbing and does not seem interested in the least bit about walking.

Our church is growing in knowledge and love for God every week. It is a sweet thing to get to witness and walk with them through. There have been many ups and downs the past few months, but we are definitely seeing God's continual hand in the lives of our people. It is hard work, but so worthy. We are grateful for the way living among our people and being invested in their lives stretches us and grows our faith.

As a couple we are doing well. Justin has just finished his teaching job at the schools for this year. It was another great year full of opportunities for him to share his love of God in word and in deed. His heart to serve our community never ceases to challenge me and push me to get out of my comfort zone. He wears many hats and juggles many tasks. As his wife i could not be more proud of him. We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary this month. As with every anniversary it was so sweet to reflect on all the ways the Lord has provided for us and guided us. I am still working hard on the curriculum for our children at church. We have been going through Exodus chapter by chapter and it has been challenging and fun to prepare lessons for our children. My days are full of normal mom jobs, and i have to admit that some days i do feel overwhelmed and burned out.  Being part of a church plant means that we are the ones that are pouring out, and i could say the same goes for caring for little ones. We are thankful for the Lord's provision in our mental and spiritual health through churches in the states that journey with us.

Three ways you can pray for us:
1. Pray for us to have discernment and wisdom in all areas of our lives
2. Pray for us to seek God's word for refreshment, grace, and peace
3. Pray for helpers, Italy needs more people willing to jump in and work with the local church.

Thank you for walking with us,
Mcghin Family
